I don't believe they are. Wunderlich sold separate bars for ST and GT they are not interchangeable. The top mount through the fairing appear to be quite different.

 

The original ones I fitted on that bike were Wunderlich part number 8160133 Engine protection bars for BMW F800ST. Maybe someone somewhere in Wunderlich's dealer network still has a set.

I also have n ST. I have been wondering how?if possible to putt highway pegs on. Has anyone done this with some other means?

 

I think that the Wunderlich bar that fit a f800gt will fit with a little tender help

 

I have a brand new pair of crazy Iron brand from Russia crash bars. They are silver and I ordered them for my ST. Then sadly I had to part way with her. I am actually going to post about that because I think everyone would like to hear about how that went down. Anyways I have the sealed bags full or hardware and the instructions. If you go to crazy iron crash bars on Instagram you can see what they are like. I bought them over eBay and now I am sitting on them wondering if I am ever going to find a home for them. I will give a super kind price because I really want them to be installed on a bike and doing their job. Also I have a list of accessories and parts for the 2010 st.

Just to let everyone know that the bmwf800gt crash protection bar they do fit the f800st with no problems and no cutting to the fairing as I bought them and have fitted them today and am very happy with the results

Hi DJ123 I bought the Wunderlich bmw f800gt as they don't make it for the ST anymore and I took a gamble and it has paid off big time if you are thinking of buying them get them from motor works as I had to pay import tax yours David

 

i assume it just about fits in the slots on either side, and you can get the top bolt fitted in ok?

 

Yes they fit well in the kit you get some foam pads which I put in to the slot to stop it rubbing now looking at led fog lights bring on the summer

 

That's good to hear. Mine arrive tomorrow, so will be removing my old SW Motech sliders and installing these.

I've got LED spotlights currently so will try and fit them on to them. Otherwise i'm looking at the Denali stuff, potentially.

 

Fitted mine today, and they do fit without touching any bodywork or the exhaust, or any other areas. There were a few issue i came across, so here's a brief guide below for those who may fit the Wunderlich crash bars in the future;

- When fitting the top mount for the crash bars, it is easier to have the fairing panel loose and hanging over the bar when first trying to locate the screw. Once on you can then loosely screw the panel back on
- Before fitting the bars, remove some paint/file down the lower bar section where the 2 halves push together. The thick paint reduces the hole size and otherwise makes it more difficult than it needs to be.
- When fitting the lower bolts back into the fairing brackets, have yourself a long handled 8mm Allan key to hand (especially for the R/H side), as access is limited to the bolt heads

I now have my SW Motech Frame Sliders for sale, if anyone UK based wants to buy them (thread in the classifieds section)

They are barkbuster hand guards.

Using the mounts for the S1000XR/R9T, and the outer shells are the Barkbuster Storm Guard
