There is now MotoScan for BMW Motorcycles on the play store
$0
A reviewer says it will reset the service reminder.
Definitely not when I got mine. I downloaded the "lite" free version to make sure my cable and Bluetooth adapter worked. I could explore menus and do random things like turning the cooling fan on and off but certainly could not reset service reminder I had to buy a licence for that.

Anyone know if this will work with any OBDII scanner? I'm about to buy the adapter cable, but if I need to purchase their specific UniScanTool in addition to the MotoScan license, I might be better off just buying a generic USB GS-911 for ~$70 US.

The only thing I'd be missing out on is the wireless connection from my current OBDII scanner (that I use for my car).

Good to know. If mine doesn't work, maybe I can convince my wife that our cars "need" one of the nicer scanners, since I do most of the maintenance myself if I can. That way I can use our car budget, instead my "toy" budget. =)

i use it for my bike and car too. A very handytool to have, for both the car and bike (both a BMW) i have the dedicated apps to reset service counters, error codes, coding etc. And the advantage is you can move it to your next vehicle too so you don't have to buy a dedicated reader, only an app which is far cheaper!

I am using the OBDLink LX that I got on Amazon for $60, it's on their approved list found here - https://www.motoscan.de/diagnoseadapter/
Scroll down the page at that link and they go on to explain what is required for an adapter to be fully functional with the software and why many are not.

I just checked my OBD2 tool, and it's an ELM327 with v1.5 firmware. So, it can read codes and send some commands, but might not work with ABS. Also can't reset service, but I've never gotten a reminder on my bike in the 20k+ miles I've put on it.

The motoscan site mentions it doesn't work on older "FTE ABS modules" so maybe my 2007 is "new" enough to work? Guess I'll find out when my cable comes in. Otherwise, I'll need to the get the OBDLink LX, since it's listed as fully-supported.
