Thinking, it may affect the Automatic Stability Control (ASC). Part of the operation is done by comparing the relative speed of the wheels. A tire of a different size to standard will suggest to the computer that the wheel speeds are different and it should (possibly) intervene. In this case with a smaller rear wheel the computer may think that the back wheel is rotating faster than the front and it should therefore slacken off the throttle to reduce the (computer's perceived) rear wheel spin.
