Anybody using the quad lock phone mount? If so, did you get the handlebar or stem mount and how is it working out for you? I'm thinking the bar would be in the way of the stem mount, and I might not like it right there in the middle. I'm most interested in this type of mount for the wireless charging and the anti-vibration options.

I fitted an anti-vibration Quad Lock holder to my handlebar last summer. Several times a year, I use the bike to support bicycle events, century rides, etc. Oftentimes, the terrain where the events are held does not have reliable mobile phone service, so we use two-way ham radio. I set up my Quad Lock to hold the radio. Disappointingly, because of two very large forest fires in this area, the bicycling events were canceled. So, there was no chance to use the holder. Looking forward to a better summer this year.

Here are photographs of my Quad Lock--without the radio mounted.

The device appears to be well made, but I cannot truthfully report on its usefulness. Pushing on the blue tab and twisting the radio easily releases it.

thanks ccwatchmaker, I think the biggest thing for me will be the anti-vibration if I do get it. I tried a video on my current handlebar clamp mount and it came out weird due to the vibrations, I know that can't be good for my phone, though I've had it mounted up like this for a couple of years already.

Hi. I have the bar mount one on my GT and the stem one on my 98 Fireblade. I used the GT one for a tour of Scotland last year. It seemed to be fine, very useful, but I’m looking in to a satnav unit this year because even with the damper I think the GT vibration would ruin my iPhone. I don’t have any pics sorry.

Thanks everybody. I'm upgrading my phone soon and I think I'll be upgrading my mount to this at the same time. With the vibration mount and maybe the wireless charger.
I have fitted my Quadlock to a BMW F800GT, a Triumph Bonneville and a Vincent Black Shadow. Dirt roads, cobblestones and highways were all good. iPhone 6 worked well and still works. Money well spent
especially the waterproof cover.

I bought a ball that screws into one of the fork clamps, then quad lock ball mount - recommend the anti-vibration though as vibration has wrecked the image stabilisation on my iPhone 8.

GET THE QUADLOCK WITH THE ANTI-VIBRATION ADD-ON! Finally found a mount that doesn’t unseat my iPhones optical stabilizer!! I have tried around 15 mounts over the years touting anti-vibration features and everyone of them resulted in me having to get a new optical stabilizer put in my iphones 8 through 13. thank goodness for applecare + because i have had them replaced about 10 times at no charge. i have the ball stem mount on a handlebar clamp with the wireless charging base and vibration damper. i ride fairly hard and quite fast when safe (100+ mph). ive been riding daily with this quadlock build on for 4 months now and haven’t encountered a single problem with my phone. i got the universal fit mount for my phone because i am not fond of the quad lock cases. this is a female quadlock “socket” with a very strong 3m vhb adhesive sticker backing that you apply to the magcharge compatible case of your choosing. This system works! and works well! finally! Thank you quadlock!

On Sunday I rode Moto SAG support for an annual bicycle ride around Lake Tahoe. There were well over 1000 bicyclists on the ride. I was on the bike for about 12 hours--6 am to 6 pm. It rained from 0630 until 1230. My Gore-Tex jacket kept me fairly dry. I had an opportunity to use my QuadLock anti-vibration mount that I bought to hold my HAM (KG7 IDG) radio--see message #3 of this thread--under rather difficult circumstances, it did the job with no drama. I had to smooth the back of the radio case, which is the removable battery container, with sandpaper in order to get a good surface for the stick-on mating piece for the QuadLock.

A few weeks ago I was able to buy a BlueTooth device that connected the radio with my N-Com unit in the Nolan helmet. This was really slick until the rain got into the device and caused the radio to go into an unwanted transmit mode. Now that all is dry, everything seems to work correctly again. I'll get another chance on June 25; I am riding support for a 200 mile bicycle ride in the Sierra.

The point of this is the QuadLock mount works exactly as I hoped it would. I recommend to anyone thinking of getting this holder, go for it, it is a good product.

Here are pictures, I forgot to post to the above. The radio mounted on the QuadLock, and the back of the radio showing the QuadLock mating piece attached to the radio battery case.

Well I'm off to Normandy, France, tomorrow on my GT with Quadlock mount and anti-vibe this time, hoping my iPhone SE camera survives (unlike my iphone 8) so I can take lots of pictures!

So I got the mount with the vibration dampener. Works great, really easy to mount and once you get used to putting your phone on it's really easy. Most vibrations are gone, as compared between taking a video while riding with my old phone mount and taking a video with the new phone mount. Some vibrations at higher revs are still there, however, but it is really a lot better. Thanks everybody for their input and advice.
