To o my knowledge only bmw Sports expandible or stock GT rigid box fit the standard mount. There are lots of used Sports boxes our there. F800r boxes have the same fit

maybe the sport panniers of the F800R fit in the GT because the exhaust of the R and the GT are both more sloping than the ST exhaust. but I'm not sure... does anyone tried it?

 

This has been discussed some time ago in this same forum. I believe the R sport case fit on the GT. The ST sportcases do not fit, specifically the exhaust side, as you expected.

Regarding the original question: there are no 3rd party panniers which fit the BMW proprietary mounting system (most probably patented, so 'protected' by BMW). You need to fit an additional mounting system.

Neither side fits. It's not the exhaust. The mounting holes on the ST bags are in the wrong location to match up to the mounting lugs on the GT.

The bags from the R might fit on the GT, but I don't own an R and have not tried that combo.

The panniers for the R and GT are definitely interchangeable.
