how to remove service on dash
hello boys an girls, on my F800gt 2017 between the clock and miles covered is the word service now i do my own oil an filter was done at 12000 now 15000, can i take this off without them code reader boxes or other device, any how thank you in advance

how do you know i have not looked at the search section, it looks like you have to use a gs911, i asked can it be reset without using a device, so you could have put something useful on like yes or no

Options are MotoScan app, GS-911 or main dealer,
If you shout out your location you may be lucky and have a forum member local that is able to do it for you, it's no biggie to do.

bubble. I don't think bmwroadsterca's answer to your question was unreasonable. No, he (I'm assuming he) didn't know if you'd done a search, but if you had, you'd already know the answer to your question. You have 3 options, as MDG109 says. Buy either a GS-911, a Motoscan app and OBD11 scanner, or go to a dealer. This a friendly and very helpful forum, whose members have a wealth of knowledge and experience, accept their advice in the spirit it was meant.
Seems to me saying "Do a search!" isn't all that friendly. It's like saying, "get off my grass, you stupid kid!" MDG109 modeled a better way without mocking or belittling.bubble. i did not mean it to be offensive and very happy for any advice, the service light on my car can be removed without a device, thank you for the replies people
Hi Bubble. Whereabouts in the UK are you? For instance, if you were fairly close to me, I would suggest you call around or meet somewhere and with my MotoScan device, remove the service notice for you. Rob.

You have to learn how to use the SEARCH function on top. I just put in "SERVICE REMINDER' and got all the answers.
guenner i have done the SEARCH, the question was can you remove the word service from the dash without an electrical device
The first entry I got searching for 'service reminder' had this answer in the first reply:
'You can't turn it off yourself, you'll need a diagnostic tool to reset it like a GS 911 '
It would tell me ....that's it! Unless you are not satisfied with the answer and you hope that a magic answer has to be there. Like...put a tiny piece of tape over it on the display.

hello boys and girls now we all like a happy ending the service light is off, this is all thanks to Rob aka RobA, this lad was good enough to meet up with me to clear the dash also show me what i needed and how to clear the screen, there is a lot of information if you search (which i did) but if i had not asked i would not have met Rob and got it cleared, Rob sir you are a star.
