you might get stung with import duty/tax & handling charges as its's coming from the EU. You can get them on eBay for £140 from a UK seller, which is about the same money (with current exchange rates) with 20% vat added on.

Thanks for that Jonton. I'm in Ireland and the Amazon UK price jumped up from about €180 to €225 a day or two ago. Just ordered one from the German site and it's coming in at €124 (inc delivery) ......The Base price went up by €4 when I finalised the order, but at this price I'm not really going to worry about that [:D]

Just to add. I'm about to hit 40,000 miles on the original Belt, so probably no harm to have a spare ready.

Is there anything important about belt production date? Maybe these belts are old?
I hope not. I bought a Gates replacement drive belt for my Zero 8 years ago (only $80 at the time) and have kept it hanging in my garage sealed tightly in a plastic bag. My understanding is that they don't like to be coiled up when being stored, BTW.

Tobinlord. There are a number of european websites selling BMW OEM parts as well as pattern parts that will ship to Australia.....Amazon isn't you're only choice (it'd be my last). However if the part you require is on a site that will only post to the EU, do you have a friend there whose address you can use and they can then re-post it on to you? I do this often. The are also commercial outlets that will do the same....the parts are posted to them and they forward them on, at a cost (although it's usually not great).

I bought the belt for my FGT from this seller in March last year, the belt was new, produced two months earlier.
