So this morning I was at Alice's Restaurant in Woodside, CA, and after a while various interesting classic cars, motorcycles and sport cars started showing up. I took a lot of photos so I will divide them up into three threads. Here are the classic cars. The first one is a Stuz 32. I had heard of their Bearcat, but I had no idea they made this huge touring sedan. I sure wouldn't want to try to turn the engine over with a crank. [:0]

Here is an interesting car that I saw today at Alice's Restaurant. It is a 1999 Lotus Esprit V8. The owner drove it from Montana and said it was a rare car which took him a long time to find. It certainly was in good condition.

While at Alice’s Restaurant this morning, I saw a mint-condition 1961 Chevy Corvair Monza (it has been years since I have seen a Corvair in person), a neat looking Lamborghini, and a Maybach sedan. The Corvair owner said that it used to belong to his dad who worked for a Chevy dealer and kept the car garaged for the past 40 years. Photos attached.

A gaggle of 1950's Porsche sports cars showed up at Alice's Restaurant today. I found this 1956 1600 Super Speedster convertible to be the nicest of the bunch. [:)]

Here is an unusual car that I saw parked in the Alice's Restaurant today. I think the brand name is Bitza. [;)]

Next to it was parked this slick Honda NSX sports car.

Today at Alice's Restaurant (where they have raised many of their prices by about 15% since last Sunday) I saw this interesting (and fully restored) 1957 Corvette "basic". The owner told me that it was the most basic model that you could buy at the time. It has a 3-speed manual transmission, no heater, no sun visors and absolutely no other options of any kind. I am not even sure if it had a soft top. If there was one hiding under the metal cover behind the rear seat, it sure didn't look easy to access. But the car really looked nice.

Parked in front of the 1957 was a Corvette Stingray. I am not sure what year it is as I didn't talk to the owner.

And across the street was the first Rivian electric pickup that I have seen.

Apparently it was (mostly) red Ferrari day this morning across the street from Alice's Restaurant. The drivers had a big meeting in the parking lot discussing their route of travel to a much more expensive restaurant in the town of Pescadero, before taking off for the sunny coast. I have no idea where that white Ferrari SUV hatchback came from. Who knew that the company made white hatchbacks? [SQ] What is this world coming to? [uhoh]

Over by Alice's Restaurant yesterday on our way to a hike in the Coastal Redwoods.

Wheel Car Tire Vehicle Land vehicle

I think it was a Porsche 979. We were going pretty fast down the road and it passed us like we were standing still. It reminded me of a race car, made legal for the streets.

Here are some more classic cars that I saw at the Alice's Restaurant parking lot this morning. I won't give you a guarantee that the Ford GT500 is not a kit car as who would put a couple of big speaker in the back seat of a real GT500? Sacrilege! The Chevy Cheville SS looks nice.

Here is a neat home-built 1932 Ford V-8 desert racer (at least that is what the owner called it) that I saw at Alice's Restaurant today. Photos attached.

Here is today's collection of photos of expensive sports cars that were parked in the Alice's Restaurant parking lot on Easter Sunday morning. Note the red pull strap on the Porsche used to start its lawnmower engine. [:D]

I wonder why Lambo see a need to advertise the V10 firing order? That front wheel! All is forgiven....

Well, Lambos are now owned by VW, so I guess they have to let you know that they are no longer owned by Ford by explaining that the car now has a V10 engine in the trunk, instead of a V-8? (If my memory is correct.)

somehow the firing order thing on the exterior does seem tacky. In the engine bay, it would be cool.

Exactly! I wonder who decides on weird plaques like that?

Here are photos of a couple of interesting cars that were parked at Alice's Restaurant this morning. There were six of those Lucid EV things that eventually headed down Highway 84 toward the foggy beach. But only one Ultima RS. [:)]

Yesterday I attended a car show benefiting the local high school's shop program. There were 300 cars and a few motorcycle being exhibited. I took 65 photos and will post a few pictures of some of the more interesting vehicles here.

The car is a 1950 Studebaker. One of my favorite cars when I was growing up. Attached is a picture of its front. Many owners of the cars would put a propeller on the grill's tit. The car really did look futuristic for the time. Attached is a photo of the front of the car. Also attached is another picture of the Kawasaki 500 triple.

As a young kid, the brother of one of my mom's friends had a Kawi 500 triple like that. He was a med student and took me for a ride down one of the twistiest roads near our house at what seemed an insanely fast speed. Especially for all the homes/driveways. Scared the crap out me.

My mom was not a 'helicopter mom"....we were raised free-range. LOL. Surprised I am still alive some days. [:D]
